Case how did you start having extended conversations with this dude?

Plus don't tell me you guys are actually buying this?

[/ QUOTE ]
The idea that he is a troll is now less believable than the idea that he is confused. Do you actually believe someone would call cardplayer and pm them as nick nevler for the purpose of leveling BBv a year later? IS it that hard to believe that poker characters inspired ONE kid in the midwest out of millions to quit hs?
And the kid that dropped hs to play poker even though he is bad, wtf did you expect him to sound like? A reasonable accountant from a big 4 firm?

[/ QUOTE ]

It's like performance art, it's his thing. He sets the lure and when there's a bite he unleashes the full performance. Every answer is just too perfectly retarded. How can somebody [censored] up and say the most ridiculous and retarded and flame worthy responses to every question and statement? And there's a motive as well. Everybody on message boards takes great pride in spotting a troll from a mile away, this is a way of poking fun and having a laugh at everybody's expense. Seriously think about how easy it would be to have an enduring gimmick... Write a short non-punctuated paragraph to cardplayer, post the same one on message boards?

[/ QUOTE ]
Does anyone else agree with this? to me that all sounds unbelievably elaborate.

[/ QUOTE ]
the guy thinks MILLI VANILLI is the greatest musical act of all time. if that right there didn't set off your alarms, i mean... nothing will.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nath I am naturally gullible so no it didn't lol. First off I promise not to post anything in this thread again. I have wasted far too much of my cookie eating time on this thread because i thought it was interesting. Second this really blows . I wanted to see nick lose his stack in vegas

I'm not sure what would be funnier.. taking his bank roll by playing with him, or getting him kicked out of the casino for telling someone to check his ID.

Those AIM conversations were funny. You should take an IQ test nick, I'll ship you $10 if you break 100

nath, you make some good points, but this would be soooooooooo elaborate.

[/ QUOTE ]

Seriously think about how elaborate it would need to be? A few minutes to post similar messages on mulitple forums? Some follow ups when he gets around to it?

[ QUOTE ]
Who honestly posts retarded crap like that a year in advance just to fool a bunch of people on the internet?

[/ QUOTE ]

If you seriously don't know anybody like this, VegasNick might be inadvertently right in saying there's more to life than your narrow existence. (hypothetically, that is, not pointing the finger directly at you, danny)

[/ QUOTE ]

You are forgetting that he deposited money online and I have seen him play. Also someone posted Nick Nevler's online chess rating which was ~3 years old.

VegasNick

Why don't you just go to vegas now since you're getting a fake ID anyway.

I understand there are wierd 'performance art' things that happen all the time, and they push the boundries of what is art and what isn't. I don't think my existance is 'narrow' in that sense. I just think that if OP is fake, he is more likely a moron idiot than a 'performance artist', and I cannot picture a moron who wants to 'punk' an internet forum being patient enough to wait more than a year to unleash his fury. What kind of idiot has that patience? I just think the chance that some kid has Narcissistic_personality_disorder is way greater than the chance of the most elaborate troll ever.

It's entirely plausible that this is a character created long ago, that the creator brings to various internet fora to stir pots and wreak havoc.

I mean, he's just too perfect. He has literally no redeeming qualities. The depth of his delusion, at the very least, has to be a willful creation.
