I'm almost hoping for some bad news on Pedro at some point, because after 4 months of glowing reports and talk of mid-90s fastballs again, I'm starting to set my expectations too high.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well there is still 2 more months for that to happen before we see him in a big league game. Let's hope not though. We might really need him by then, who knows about El Duque staying healthy and Sosa is still a ? mark.

BobO,

Yeah I figure I must paid the wrong ticket, I never used the LIRR before and I was rushing due to only having 3 minutes until the train took off.

Jordan,

I used one of those electronic machines just outside the train area. Even though I live so close to the city I rarely go in so I am always pretty confused when I go.

Whitbread,

I usually just enjoy the walk. Its not that much of a walk and on a nice day its easy. But on Sunday it was raining and I was just trying to do the easiest possible thing.

FWIW, I felt like a complete [censored] walking around being so confused. Maybe that just tells me I need to get in there more often. Wish NJTransit had more trains that run in on the weekends though.

Wow, this game was aweful. Lots of hard hit balls off JAmie Moyer right at peOPle but the Mets still have got to come through with runners in scoring position, christ.

Also Reyes sacraficing after the Glavine single was so stupid I wanted to shove my finger through my eye into my brain. Willie, what the hell? Id rather reyes hit into FORCE PLAY THAN SACRAFICE THERE!!!

# of hit it takes to score Glavine from 2nd - 2
# of hit it takes to score Reyes from 1st - 2(1 if he steals)

Let him take his [censored] AB and try and keep the ball down, maybe hell get what's known as a hit. Willie, hits are things that put baserunners on and DONT give the other team outs. They are generally mroe conducive to scoring than giving up outs to move slow peices of [censored] into 2nd base.

STOP BUNTING!!!!!

Warning: Results Oriented/Small Sample Size Question Here..

But why did Omar trade Victor Diaz last year to the Rangers? The guy has been killing the ball in 70 ABs for Texas this year (Grand Slam last night). He wasn't doing poorly in AAA either before being called up.

I know we got a younger player back in return (AA Catcher Nikeas) and we already have a bunch of young OF's, but surely this guy would have better value (especially right now with all of these corner outfield injuries) for the Mets than wasting ABs on Ricky Ledee in AAA?
