I read an article about the various localisations done. The show has been successful in French, German and Spanish markets. The creators insisted that each version was taylored to the local market rather than just change David Brent's name. I was prepared to dislike the US version, but I found it in some places funnier than the original. Then again I've lived here for 15 years. |
