No kidding. Considering the injuries that are happening to the Mets its huge that some of these guys are stepping up. Gotay and Easley being on the top of the list.

It's wierd I bet if the Mets were losing consistently the past month we'd all be bitching about injuries to Alou, El Duque, ect. The fact that they are winning brings up, "well where would they be when they get all these guys back."

I went out to Shea today and left very disappointed. Outside of Reyes amazing double play the game was boring.

The real question is I think I overpaid to use the Long Island Railroad. What type of ticket do you purchase on a Sunday? I paid 23 dollars(for two) from Penn Station to Shea. It was much easier than what I used to do, Jersey->Penn->walk to Grand Central->Jump on the 7 train, but, also much more expensive.

IIRC, off-peak one-way should be $4.75.

WTF? Penn Station and Shea are both in Zone 1. How are you paying 12.50 a peice. You obviously bought the wrong ticket. Did you mean total there and back? 5 a peice x 4 is 20?

Needle,

Why do you walk to Grand Central from Penn to pick up the 7? I used to just take the subway one stop from Penn to Times Square and pick up the 7 there...

Still taking the LIRR would be easier than that.

I'm almost hoping for some bad news on Pedro at some point, because after 4 months of glowing reports and talk of mid-90s fastballs again, I'm starting to set my expectations too high.
