See, again your bet sizing is too small preflop.. especially if you're out of position for the rest of the hand.. I would make it about $6 to go preflop (even though you got really unlucky).

Postflop I love the way you played it.

As for your bankroll question, I would play nl25 until you hit $350-400, then move down..

hello unl!

I am happy to say that I have started playing poker again, and what better way to celebrate than posting about my first day back on 2+2 even though no one will read it.

small beats, big brags:

A little about me: I was playing 25NL in december, and ran on a sick heater up to 200NL by early jan. Sadly, as friends pointed out, i was spending way too much time playing and took a break while cashing out 3/4 of my BR. I've played a little in between, but only to show guests, family/pass time/ steam off anger and never above 100NL and never more than 2 tables at a time.

Today I was supposed to attend a tourney at uni campus that would mark my new "start" to poker, however last night's heavy drinking had me getting up 2hours past tourney start time. Kind of pissed I decided to load up PS, open 4 50NL tables, start PT and PAhud and get playing again.

Unlucky me, right off the bat:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

BB ($45.75)
UTG ($70.70)
MP ($47)
Button ($68.30)
Hero ($47.80)

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, Button calls $2, Hero raises to $7, 2 folds, Button raises to $68.3, Hero calls $40.80 (All-In).

Flop: ($116.60) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: ($116.60) K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($116.60) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $116.60

Results in white below:
Hero has Ad Ac (two pair, aces and kings).
MP doesn't show.
Button has Kc Tc (three of a kind, kings).
Outcome: Button wins $116.60.

Before his all in raise, villain said:
allinchiko said, "hmmmmmmm"
allinchiko said, "kk"
And left before the next hand was dealt.

Fighting the urge to quit and smash my brand new laptop, I convince myself to hang in there and try to play a long session. I decide to really concentrate on my play, and attempt to avoid some fishy mistakes I am used to accumulating.

A couple hours later, after playing decently and running well, I'm sitting with 5 BIs on the same table and really enjoying playing again. Why did I ever quit in the first place? I wonder.

A funny hand:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

MP ($49.25)
Hero ($135.35)
SB ($93.65)
BB ($50)
UTG ($61.85)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

UTG checks, Hero checks.

Turn: ($18.75) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $10, UTG calls $10.

River: ($38.75) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
UTG bets $42.85 (All-In), Hero calls $42.85.

Final Pot: $124.45

Results in white below:
UTG has Ad Kd (one pair, fives).
Hero has Qc Qh (two pair, queens and fives).
Outcome: Hero wins $124.45.

My actual thoughts on the river:
"AK? smells like AK... there are more AK than TT combinations, gamboooooooooool"

The graph:

Yay for 8BI days, soon SSNL again. Note the break even at the top, I think 1k5 hands is all I can handle, maybe 1k hand sessions should be enough in the future.

I would suggest that maybe you're winning my money, but I'm pretty sure that I've been making the fishy donks rich lately. Unless you're a fishy donk, you probably have someone else's money.

In other news, I've made so many Sklansky dollars this month.

Sklansky bucks > real bucks IMO. And at least you made a decent amount of FPP.
