[ QUOTE ]
Most players are terrible in the end game and following sage helps players (like you apparently) have the discipline to do something a lot more +EV than minraising 44 with 6bbs because "he folds all his weak hands."

[/ QUOTE ]

A little credit, please? I am not THAT bad. I am talking about those funky hands that add up to 24, like 95s (OOOOOHHHH SOOOOOOTTTED!!!

[ QUOTE ]
Seriously, I doubt you're playing more EV than Sage offers you as a whole.

[/ QUOTE ]

I can't supply proof for or against this.

[ QUOTE ]
The adjustments that make it more +EV to do rather than play SAGE are not really that difficult to make, but it's easier said than done and you can actually decrease your edge by steering away from SAGE.

[/ QUOTE ]

As retarded as is sounds, some lucky poster is likely to have extra income for Christmas.

[ QUOTE ]
You can also increase it, but I don't think you're doing that from the limited amount of end game posting you've done here.

[/ QUOTE ]

Or anyone? I read just about everything. There has been some brilliant stuff written.

[ QUOTE ]
And how is Martingale +EV in a realistic situation?

[/ QUOTE ]

It is supposed to be used for bets that have one of two EVEN results. Martingale was specifically created for the roulette wheel (so the legend goes). It does NOT work on the the numbers. It works on Odd/Even, High/Low, Red/Black.

I never did do the math to see what happens after 15,000 bets, if that matters. It does not work because after so much doubling, there is a chance that you could even bust Bill Gates. But just to be sure, casinos place a pay-out limit on games where the Martingale can be used profitably.

So no, there is no "realistic" situation.

There are two variants. If you place a bet on RED at a wheel, you either win or lose. If you lose, you double the bet, and then continue doubling the bet. Your over-all expectation is decreased by the green numbers (0,00). I suppose that this could theoretically create a losing proposition if enough green numbers came up in a row.

$1 bet = $2win-$1bet= $1profit

if you lose:

$2 bet = $4 win- $2bet-$1bet = $1 profit.

There is also something called the Grand Martingale, which you double your bet and add one dollar. The math is simple.

I am only stating my opinion. I started using SAGE at the beginning of this month, and started using it real serious about one week ago. There is no denying that I could have done better without it. My wr has dropped and the situations I am shoving, I am shaking my head.

Your being incredibly results oriented, no one EVER told you to use SAGE over and over again we explain its an UNEXPLOITABLE SYSTEM ITS NOT [censored] OPTIMAL. J christ.

Dave,

1) That sounds retarded.

2) How are we applying this to HUSNGs?

Yes, I understand that it is NOT OPTIMAL, but since (better players) has told me that I should attempt to learn it, and to stop guessing with the end game, and that.....

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In fact, I read on THIS forum that I will do better with SAGE.

I don't see it.

Results oriented thinking? Really!!!
I hope I have learned to think beyond that [censored] by now.

Keep on picking on the Martingale and how I brought it up. If you can get past flaming me, you will understand why I picked the [censored] comparison, which I already stated. ZOMG!!! Just about every drooling idiot in the world knows it isn't a profitable system.

1= Martingale is a worthless system

+

1= I feel that SAGE is like Martingale

=

2= I feel that SAGE is worthless in HUSNGs.

At the very least, it needs to be modified. I don't have the actual equations of SAGE, and I probably wouldn't be smart enough to figure it out anyways.

This can't be right. Although I think you're exaggerating to make a point.
