Re: Official \"it\'s not too early to start talking about Fantasy Footba
Is there anything up with Donte Stallworth that we ought to know about? I've seen some drafts where he's dropped down to like the penultimate round and heard isolated reports that the Pats are big on Welker. In one of my three leagues Welker is on waivers, and I'm tempted to pull the trigger (would drop either Braylon Edwards, Bernard Berrian, Deshaun Foster, or, most likely, Losman who I just picked up to fill the roster) but want to check for opinions first.

Re: Official \"it\'s not too early to start talking about Fantasy Footba
Judging by the commentary, it looks like I have a good team.
[ QUOTE ] Henry 5th is stealy, IMHO. Bears D is like awful, awful pick. Looks good, but I think you took K plus D way, way too high. [/ QUOTE ] The reason I took Bears and K too high is because it's only an 8 team league and I figured I may as well have the best at each position. In hindsight it worked out well because the top 2 backs I wanted afterwards were Jones and Jacobs. Of course it definitely may have turned out worse. I was going to take Travis Henry in an earlier round, but I realized every team had at least two RBs and most wanted to fill out other starters. The average RB per team when I picked Henry was 2.3 (excluding me). 17 backs were taken before Henry and they were, in order, LT, Westbrook (?!), SJax, Gore, Alexander, LJ, Addai, Parker, Rudi, Bush, Maroney, McGahee, R. Brown, Jones-Drew, Portis, James, and Benson. Oh, also I had Henry, T. Jones, and Benson similarly ranked and they were all available at my 4th round pick. Figured one would be there at 5th round. Bulger was the last remaining top QB. [ QUOTE ] WOW, how can those guys be available there? That's CRAZY! All of them went in the 2nd round in my draft. Actually Henry was the last pick of the 12 team first round. Which by the way, noone has commented on my team I posted above earlier today. [/ QUOTE ] I am guessing it is because my league is only 8 teams. Everyone wanted to take other starters before getting their third or fourth running back. |

[ QUOTE ] Rate my very first draft. Only 6 player league. So, pretty deep draft pool. 6 pts for TDs. 1 pt for every 10/50/100/150... rush yrd. 1 pt for every 25/150/300/450 pass yrd. -2pts per int 1 pt for every 10/50/100/150....receiving yrd I picked 6th out of 6, so every pick was back to back: 1. Shaun Alexander RB 2. Drew Brees QB 3. Reggie Bush RB 4. Terrel Owens WR 5. Willis MgGahee RB 6. Roy Williamns WR 7. Lee Evans WR 8. Tony Romo QB 9. Santana Moss WR 10.DENVER D 11.Adrian Peterson RB 12.Kellen Winslow TE 13.Jason Whitten TE 14.Chris Chambers WR 15.NEW ENGLAND D 16.Neil Rackers K [/ QUOTE ] How many starters at each position? [/ QUOTE ] 1 QB 1 RB 2 WR 1 flex 1 D 1 TE 1 K |

If so, I think I would have taken two of Shaun, Addai, and Westbrook. Brees could possibly be had later in my opinion, and you could consider Palmer over him. You alternatively could have gone with Chad for the top WR. |

Also, first team with LT is good. Overall nice balance it will depend on injuries and playoff performances. No one has a terrible team but Unibrow and Real Players kind of meh. Hard to say without knowing backups. |

Re: Official \"it\'s not too early to start talking about Fantasy Footba
Even though this is OT, I might as well ask here because I actually check this thread...
Howcome when I try to view the SSNL Cheese thread it just comes up as a plain white page? I tried deleting history and cookies and it didn't fix it. Has this ever happened to anyone else? |
