NO!
I want to complain to. I am sick and tired if SAGE. Last night, I threw my mouse across the room because I lost no less that 8 races using that bs system. What really burns my ass is that I had AA KK, AND AKo. I shove and he folds. WTF? If I would have min-raised, he would have probably called and lost a part of his stack. I am no longer using that crappy system until I can be convinced otherwise. |

Yea, you're shoving AK 8bbs deep because SAGE tells you to?
If you stop using SAGE do you raise fold it or something? Do you limp fold it? |

Re: ***** November LC Thread *****
I was saying that I got less because I shoved and he did NOT call, where if I min-raised, he would have likely called.
The problem is that all he has to do is wait for some kind of hand like... any two broadways, any Ace, any King, and he is getting the best of me when it matters. SAGE creates an edge because he is folding blinds, but if he calls, he only has to win one or maybe two races to get out of SAGE blind level. This guy came back from a 120 chip stack. If I would have folded my bs not so good hands for two more hands, this would not have happened. |

Re: ***** November LC Thread *****
LOL math. Do the math and stop shoving hands then. See where that gets you.
I don't know about you, but a majority of the time that I come back from < 200 chips it's because the idiot is folding too many hands and I win a race or two in the process. I love people that never call when either of us are short, they are so much worse than the contrary. |

"LOL math. Do the math and stop shoving hands then. See where that gets you."
This is a contradiction. I am saying that I have a funny way of losing races. Somehow, it never fails that when I start using SAGE, my money goes in with the worse of it. That is my complaint. Where not dealing with infinity here, we are dealing with short relative stacks with a time limit. It usually only takes one race to stop having to use SAGE, a small win to re-use it, and on loss to become in jeopardy. I am pretty stupid when it comes to math, but I know that according to SAGE T6= 26, and that T6 versus any face, ace, or pocket pair is a huge dog. I can't wait until I have enough to get out of SNGs for crying out loud. Ugh, these later level things are killing me. |

Re: ***** November LC Thread *****
I'd use sage if I played the 5s regularly or whatever (not because of the 5s but... you get the point).
As it is I just modify it player to player, as some players you can shove every hand on profitably and sage would obv never tell you to do that. |

I dont use SAGE. [/ QUOTE ] But you play a shove/fold game when stacks get shallow and you follow the SB pushing range relatively closely I imagine? You probably use an advanced form of SAGE applicable and OPTIMAL vs. the respective opponent you play?! As far as I understand DaveT he is questioning the profitability of shoving a wide range of sub-premium hands. But I imagine you dont do that any less, cwar, do you? |
