chrisv: as far as i can tell, partypoker seems to provide the best aust/us exchange rates. bpay out of them for a $1 flat fee into your aust bank account, and they do better than the westpac sell rate.

even better would be to get a cheque withdrawal out of pokerstars addressed to the charity (rather than moving it into/out of $US/$A/$US) .... they might even chunk in a little themselves to the donation.

Every time I look at this thread I feel so happy!

I once did some volunteer work in africa, and there I really saw how greatly the people benefit from charities.

You guys wouldn't believe how long $100 goes down there.

Chris, is stars going to basically charge you a fee for all these transfers? I've never dealt w/ anything like that so i don't know how it works.
If they do, count me in for another $20, just to pay for the transfer fees, for you to keep in ur acct.
