Re: ***Official Ron Paul video thread***
Already $50,000 in the bank today. I think Congressman Paul is correct when he says that his campaign is growing by leaps and bounds.
http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/pol...n.ron.paul.cnn Another interview by CNN this morning. Paul addresses the crashing dollar. Well, the link goes to the story yesterday about the fundraising but just go down under the video screen and click on the video "A talk with Ron Paul." It won't let me link to that video for some reason. |

Re: ***Official Ron Paul video thread***
I have no idea what you people are talking about regarding Dr. Paul's posture. In the Tucker interview he's obviously sitting with his right leg crossed over his left, which lists him a bit, and every time I've met him he stands ramrod straight. Sometimes he has a tendency to jut his head forward during moments of particular incredulity, but that's about it.
The guy is still an athelete. Rides his bike all the time, and my wife has to practically jog to keep up with his walk. The one people really need to be concerned about is his wife, Carol. She had a pacemeker installed a few months back, and was in the hosptial yesterday after being lightheaded. She doesn't get enough credit for being the woman beside the man. |

Re: ***Official Ron Paul video thread***
Borodog, I've always thought his posture was bad. As you said, he does jut his head forward, almost always though. He's got a bit of a turtle thing going on there. He should work on that - go to a chiropractor, etc, there's a bunch of exercises that can be done, and a lot of times all it takes is knowing that you need to put your head back.

Re: ***Official Ron Paul video thread***
I found an interesting comment about Ron Paul in today's National Review. NR's editor, Kathryn Jean Lopez made this post today under the headline "Almost Enough To Make You Want To Give Ron Paul A Second Look"
"I walked into the Press Club building yesterday afternoon and saw a gaggle of pressies standing in the lobby laughing at Ron Paul, who was on one of the TV screens running." It would be very interesting if Lopez would give the names of the reporters who were laughing at Paul. |

Re: ***Official Ron Paul video thread***
Boro, I guess you're right. The Tucker interview was just a laid back setting. I didn't notice anything when I watched it originally, and took a quick look after reading this and saw what people meant. But ya, he was just loungin'.
I really do think he looked a little off in that debate I linked, and I notice the same sort of thing from time to time in other clips, but it's just a very minor thing that I wouldn't notice if I didn't want him so bad. But ya, most of the time his posture is perfectly sound. We're all just trying our best to find some sort of flaw I guess. |

Well, I'm defensive of the turtlenecking because I do the same thing and am trying to break the habit.

TR: Real Life Politics
This was a real life conversation I had today, with the most devout Christian I know.
Her: Who are you going to vote for? Me: Nobody. Her: (Following a gasp and a condescending look) Why not? Me: Because it's a waste of time. But if I had to vote, I'd vote for Ron Paul. Her: Ugh, I hate that guy. Me: Why? Her: Because he's anti-war. Me: Trying hard to hold back laughter at her blatant hypocrisy. Doesn't she claim to be a Christian? Me: Isn't that a good thing? I mean, take Iraq for example. Think about how many lives would've been saved if we never invaded Iraq in the first place. Her: Yeah, but they have democracy now. Me: ... *head asplode* ... |

Re: TR: Real Life Politics
You should have asked her what part of the Bible had Jesus spreading the Good News at the point of His Holy Sword.
Oh wait. |
