Al Michaels et al annoys me with his constant New Or-LEE-INS. It amazes me that no one has sat him down and had him pronounce it correctly 50 times. "New OR-lins" is how it is pronounced (stress on the OR). "New or-LEANS" is a close second.

(1)Bluejays Redsox game tonight
Jays have 1st and 3rd with 1 out and Rios on 3rd. Batter hits a ball just inside the 3rd baseline and Lowell fields it withing 10 feet of third, realizes he can't get two and gets Rios at home. Announcers says Rios should have probably stayed at 3rd. WTF, Rios is already taking a lead, and running on contact with the ground ball. So WTF is he supposed to do? Stop, run 20 feet back towards third, leap 15 feet in the air over Lowell and land back on 3rd? Shortly after, they were comparing Hill with Alomar, and just when I thought wisdom was going to prevail, Rance says is too soon to compare Hill with Alomar, that they will have to wait three more years. News flash. Alomar was the 1st or 2nd best secondbasemen of his era. It will ALWAYS be too soon to compare Hill with Alomar.
