Oh, believe me, I think anyone could've played a solid 15/12 game a year or 2 ago on most sites, but obv that has changed alot.

[/ QUOTE ]

So you play a lot of 400NL and up ???

[/ QUOTE ]

none of the best players 400nl and up play anywhere near 15/12---- most of them play between 24/20(sometimes higher) and-19/16.

I think at nl100 and below it is ok to loosen up your cold calling range especially in position, If you are a good post flop player I think you can win a lot of $ with that extra 4% you call, for example instead of playing 19/16--- which is what i would play at nl200 and nl400--- at nl50 i spread it out to like 23/18 or 23/17---- this obviously varies. If someone is 3betting me a lot, sometimes ill just call oop with junk to keep them honest, or 4bet light.

but hbomb is very right--- and I think anyone who has played nearly the amount of hands he has, and myself, knows how much harder the games have gotten in the last 2 years,,,, especially the last 6 months. I dont think 17/15 or 15/12 is anywhere near optimal for nl25-nl100.

Hmmm can HU cash games actually be profitable? I've played a couple of $20 sng's and sure have a nice roi there, but the $50nl SnG's simply seem unbeatable, I won like $10, and paid $30 in rake ....

Since everyone is talking about preflop numbers just how loose do you think you can get at NL 10 on stars? I ran at 22/18 at NL 2 and something like 20/18 at NL 5(6500 hand cooling off stretch made me tighten up) and had good success. I am trying to open up a little bit more and more as I move up and people start thinking more. Seems logical.

Last night at NL 10 I played around 22/20 and did fine except I lost to a 2 outer and tilted just enough to shove TPTK on a dry flop after getting checkraised. Playing tight or loose won't prevent that. I think I am going to aim for raising at least 20% of my hands preflop at NL 10 and maybe cold calling and reraising light while IP. I feel that I can play much better then my opponents postflop and I have a MSNL player watch me and mentoring me who seems to think I am decent.

Anyone else run at least 20% PFR at NL 10 and have good results? I only play two tables so I am able to make reads and not just HudBot it up. I am trying to do away with the Hud altogther. Any thoughts on that as well?
