Simple question. What is the difference between ptbb and the bb/100 in the general tab of PT.

Also what does ptbb stand for?

so hang on, thousands upon thousands of intellectually minded gamers have been fiercely competing against each other, evolving as players, and logging hundreds of thousands of hands in an effort to try and outlearn their opponents and win as much money as possible through a communal process of intellectual evolution... and now you've shown up, and in your first 10K hands you have already proven you can outthink us all.

bravo, sir, bravo

I ran @ 15.4 bb/100 over 5500 hands a little while back. Isn't standard bb/100 for a 2+2er somewhere between 6-9 bb/100, and anything over 10 killing? I dont know what ptbb/100 is so I'm talking about in my pt db the stat BB/100 hands.

Can someone please clear up diff between ptbb/100 amd bb/100 for me?

These threads never fail to make me laugh. You get those who have about 10k hands, run well, and conclude that they are more awesome than anyone who has played before - then you get those who think that anyone who doesn't play a squillion tables doesn't do so only because they suck - and then you get the posts that are just plain silly...

BB stands for Big Bet in pokertracker, which is 2xbb. bb=big blind.

So 10bb(bigbets) is actually 20bb(big blinds)

Thank you cowpig. I knew there was something just plain silly going on there.

Is there concensus on what a sustainable winrate in BB/hr?

Because the difference between "bb" and "BB" is irritatingly confusing, we call poker tracker's "BB" ptbb (poker tracker big bet).

10+ ptbb is probably not sustainable for anyone who is playing for significant money

6+ ptbb is destruction, and only a few people at each level will attain this kind of winrate over a large sample. Someone who is consistently winning 6+ ptbb at any level is probably going to move up in in stakes soon.

4-5 ptbb is what the very strong winners will make

2-3 ptbb is quite impressive for 8+ tablers and a normal winrate for someone who plays a sane number of tables

1-2 ptbb is typical for 8+ tablers, and somewhat marginal for someone who only plays a few tables

0-1 ptbb is marginal

Cowpig... Thanks for the help. I feel a lot better now. I was confused why my numbers didn't match, it makes sense now. I guess 15ptbb/100 is absolutely murdering it then, if only that was sustainable... Thanks again Cowpig...
