like I said it doesn't really matter

if it was a deepstacked, higher limit tourney then I'd be a little impressed

but I'm sure that I could win a $4 180 without looking at my cards

I don't think you even understand how little the cards matter when you're playing idiots that fold way too much in their BB

Don't know how that morphed into 10% roi.

So how much are you willing to put your money where your mouth is?

I'll pay the entry fee, we find an honest witness, and you show me how easy it is.

You say you can do it, I say you will fail.

How much? $1,000? $10,000? $100,000?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ummm...having any sort of positive ROI pretty much translates into "I could win one of these" unless you think there is some magical switch that prevents suckouts at the final table.

[/ QUOTE ]

So when you saw this thread that said Annette "wins" the 180 tourney blind, you thought it meant she made a 10% roi?

Of course you didn't. It meant she WON. and that's what Grando meant and we all know it. Give me a break.

[/ QUOTE ]

Ummm....no, you are missing the word 'could' I think.

[/ QUOTE ]

So I say I could make this shot from halfcourt, you think I meant "given unlimited opportunities and a swedish massage between attempts, at some point one of my tries will succeed." ?

[/ QUOTE ]
Yes. Or at least, its a lot closer to THAT than to what you apparently think it means, which is that I will do it if you snap your fingers.

This is a sick feat- anyone saying otherwise is retarded.

[/ QUOTE ]

Of course it is, but which side would you take in a retard-off, grando's or the other people in this thread?

Some people feel forced to assert their own coolness by belittling any accomplishments of others.

I don't get that mindset and never will.

That was my point. Someone thinks it's so easy and is "sure they could do it"... yeah, turns out they mean they think they could do it if they got 5000 attempts. Well, that's quite a different thing, isn't it?

No, its not a different thing. And the 5,000 is probably negotiable, why don't you make a bid?

Really? You don't think I mean that I could make that shot right now? Because if you said "I'm sure I could make this shot" and one of my friends said, ok, hundred bucks... and then you tried to weasel your way into odds, and multiple attempts, you would be laughed out off the court.

If you're SURE you could do something, then bet me straight up.

If you think you go do something given unlimited attempts, then say THAT.

He said he was sure he could do it. I say "you're on"... if he then tries to backtrack into 5000-1 odds, then I say... don't come into threads belittling other's accomplishments if you need 5000 tries to duplicate it. That's incredibly weak.

and I presume that this troll thinks that annette will take an even money bet of her doing it again right?

if annette takes 1:1 odds on her doing it again (for a significant amount of money), and wins again, I would be quite impressed

No idea. Don't even know who she is.

All I know is that in trying to minimize her accomplishments, you way overstated your claim and are now backing out.

Anyone can claim anything if they subsequently give themselves 5,000 tries, or 5,000 to 1 odds.

Do you want to bet straight up or not?

You said you were sure you could do it. Is your position now that you are 1/5000th sure you could do it?

You are hilarious man. You should see if annette wants to bet you that she(?) could do it, since she must be confident she can. I mean, she DID it.
