From that and other statements you've made, it sounds like this was a situation where it was at least implicitly agreed upon that you were gonna give him back a blind. But you saw AK and instinctively reraised. At this point, the obvious move is to say "oops!" and give him back the blind + his raise.

The fact that you acted differently because you had AK is why people think less of your reputation based on this.
