Re: John from Cincy Thread
I like it, I'm not totally sucked in, but I enjoyed it. The bathroom scene was hilarious.

Re: John from Cincy Thread
Mason, a few things:
Do Shaun and John actually rhyme? I don't think so. John doesn't just mimic - he said some other original stuff when during the Barry gun scene. Also, was the bird mimicking Shaun, or the other way around? Finally, I thought that perhaps John had simply appeared on the beach in the opening scene - he seemed to come out of nowhere. He may for all intents and purposes have been born there. I'm gonna go upstairs to check if episode 3 is on demand now. |

[ QUOTE ] The only thing we know is that John doesn't eat, sleep, or crap, and he doesn't say anything original outside of "The end is near" and "Mitch Yost needs to get back in the game". [/ QUOTE ] We don't even know if those are original things (ie he could have heard those somewhere before the story picked up). [/ QUOTE ] That's what I thought as well. Then I'm reminded of what he uttered during the attempted suicide scene in episode 1 and I don't know what to think. These could be along those same lines, but their clarity and content ring entirely different. "Room 24 will give up its dead and the dead shall be forgiven." "Shaun will soon be gone." "Where Ramon is from, they would build Mitch a shrine." "One good BJ rocked the Jew lawyer's world." I'm pretty fascinated by this show so far, and I certainly don't need immediate answers, but I always fear the worst in shows that fail to provide them soon enough. |

Re: John from Cincy Thread
I would totally watch a sitcom just based around "Lawyer Dickstein and Ramon". Luis Guzman might be the most consistantly awesome actor ever.

Show is in an epic direction. The cast is great and the content is interesting. I just don't know to prepare myself for an alien world or a spiritual one.
