Mason, a few things:
Do Shaun and John actually rhyme? I don't think so. John doesn't just mimic - he said some other original stuff when during the Barry gun scene. Also, was the bird mimicking Shaun, or the other way around? Finally, I thought that perhaps John had simply appeared on the beach in the opening scene - he seemed to come out of nowhere. He may for all intents and purposes have been born there. I'm gonna go upstairs to check if episode 3 is on demand now.

Then I'm reminded of what he uttered during the attempted suicide scene in episode 1 and I don't know what to think. I'm pretty fascinated by this show so far, and I certainly don't need immediate answers, but I always fear the worst in shows that fail to provide them soon enough.

Show is in an epic direction. The cast is great and the content is interesting. I just don't know to prepare myself for an alien world or a spiritual one.
