He's using XP as he previously stated. The dock program he's using can be found for free [url=http://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/]here[/url. A "plus" version is also available for $20. Some people swear by it, but I'm not a huge fan of docks in general. "Ubuntu," which is what I use, is just a distribution of Linux, which anyone can edit or use for free. The fact that it's free and completely customizable is a big draw to many people. You can do some similarly slick desktops if you have the right graphics card, such as this one from Arch Linux. Anyway, that's my mini-hijack. |

Can we get the people who have messy backgrounds take IQ tests against the people who have clean/neat backgrounds?
I had an idea the other week that people who are consistently messy and disorganized have to take the concept of "organization" into their brain and end up with better mental acuity. They have to remember where everything is all the time. People who are well organized don't have to think about anything, since the initial organizational process handles that for them, and end up dumber over time. This is just my own pet theory, so don't take it as fact or even as an assertion. |
