Russia is the place of myth and propaganda - from many years of bad movies and russians being either poor or mafia.
The General Manager and owner of Full Tilt Poker Club at Cosmos Casino is a New Zealander who has lived in Moscow for more than 3 years - Rhys Jones, he believes Moscow to be one of the most liveable cities. "like any big city (13 mill) you have to use your head, but I have found moscow to be one of the best cities I have ever been to and enjoy living here". "I feel a lot safer walking the streets in Moscow than I ever did in London at 4am"

During the tournament English speaking staff in the Casino and Hotel will be available for all guests, plus a handful of other languages. This will be a tournament all will enjoy and everyone will enjoy visiting one of the most interesting capitals in the world!

Guys,
We are situated in an International hotel in excess of 1800 rooms and get to meet many tourists everyday - once people come to Moscow and experience the culture and the attractions all are impressed. Moscow is a vibrant city with many nationalities and many interesting tourist attractions - including day and night time, depending on your preferance for entertainment.

I personally have not seen "crazy nazis" wandering the streets. There is crime in Moscow no doubt, but this is true of every city in the world. You can focus on whichever aspects of a city that you want - it depends if you want to enjoy yourself or walk around in a state of paranoia. Moscow has too many good things going for it - but, there is really only way to find out - come and visit!!

I don't feel unsafe at all about the prospects of going to Moscow, or even about the prospect of walking around alone. In fact, I'd feel safer walking alone or with just one or two others than with an unwieldy group of poker players (during the day). I hope I can make it to this event.

FWIW, I lived in both Moscow and Rostov as an 8 year-old Jew just after the fall of the CCCP, and myself and my Jewish family were absolutely safe.

Can't personally speak for being a black person/asian person in Russia, but FFS, this isn't [censored] Brazil or Somalia. It's perfectly safe.
