Glad to see new room is open. I've been out this week...but can't wait to see it this weekend. Maybe we can get a 2+2 limit game going...

I'd reeeeeally love to play mixed games. Or HO at the least. Of course, then you'd have to explain to everybody that it's not the 5/10 PL round of each that they've become obsessed with...

Just got back from there 15 minutes ago. A really nice room. Never went to the old room so I can't compare. Played $2/$5. They had at least 4 or more $2/$5's going. They also had at least a $5/$10 HL and PLO going as well.
Lost around $500 but that is typical for me. A $25 or $30 preflop raise brought at least 4 callers almost every time. Very loose table. One regular was playing almost every hand and losing. Very few pots less that $100. I will have to give it another shot in a week or so.

5/10 HL wasn't going unless they got a list and started it without me noticing. I just got home about 15 ago myself. Maybe you mean NLHE as opposed to O8?

+$208 in under 3 hours of 4/8. Average win rate since 3/12: $13+/hr

I am visiting my friend in Dallas soon. Are there any decent current weekly hotels/apartments in the Gainesville/Thackerville area close to the WinStar?

Thanks

i don't know about weekly, but everything around that area is pretty cheap.

a few times, i've stayed a little hotel off of 35 that was like 39.50 a night after tax. obviously it wasn't nice, but it had a clean bed and a shower.

Gainesville is a better choice than Thackerville. There's basically nothing in Thackerville at all.

Your best option is the hotel right outside Winstar, it's clean and relatively cheap.

Both of my rides fell through for tomorrow...so if anyone sees this and is heading out from North Dallas to Winstar tomorrow, PM me. Thanks.

Relatively cheap is at least $99 from what I saw online. You can get a cabin at Lake Murray in Ardmore for $55. (Hey, I have a Scrabble tourney in Ardmore next weekend...)
