Why did you choose to goto McGill? What are you studying? Did where either of your brothers go affect where you wanted to go? Will I do well on my history test tomorow?

Pudge - How would you rank in order of importance the following attributes as they pertain to each portion of an SNG (for simplicity sake, broken into 1/3 levels)

Categories are:

Discipline
Imagination
Patience
Confidence
Aggression

Levels are: Early, Mid, Late

Example might be like;

Early:
1. Patience
2. Discipline
3. Confidence
4. Aggression
5. Imagination

You post goot. Slacka

[/ QUOTE ]

Early
Discipline
Patience
Aggression
Imagination
Confidence

Mid
Discipline
Patience
Imagination
Confidence
Aggression

Late
Discipline
Aggression
Confidence
Patience
Imagination

The problem with theis question is there is so much overlap, between the categories and they aren't mutually exclusive.

At what level cash game do you think the players/competition take the game somewhat seriously.

[/ QUOTE ]
At most levels people play seriously. They just suck at lower levels. When you were at Foxwoods this weekend there had to have been horrible guys who played really nitty and though they were awesome, they weren't screwing around, but they really sucked.

[ QUOTE ]

What's a good level to start out at where the play isn't completely a joke. $25 NL or $50 NL? I know the play is terrible at these levels, but honestly it feels like anything below this gives me a huge headache when I try to take things seriously.

[/ QUOTE ]
This is more of a personal question for you
What is your roll?
Why are you playing poker?
How much disposable income do you have?
Sorry to give a cop out answer, but it's true.

[ QUOTE ]
How long did you have to play SNG's before you started to become more than a break even player? Did you do anything differently, or was it just a natural progression over time with experience (and studying).

[/ QUOTE ]
It was a natural progression, however I would like to think I was always a winning player, but that is because I started off playing stakes like 2c sngs.

I always wanted to go to McGill since I have a long family history both at the school and in the city.
However when I looked last year it was more of a process of elimination. I wanted to stay close to home, I didn't like UofT, I didn't like Queens, I didn't like Western.
I am in the management program and am probably going to major in math.
Luc, Max and I all shove independently and it just kind of worked out that we went to different places.

Of course you will do well it's Western. You should get an A for writing your name.

[ QUOTE ]
"Canadians: The Dumb Americans."

Discuss.

[/ QUOTE ]
People are stupid in general. Canadians like to think Americans are full of stupid rednecks, but if you go to Rural Canada you will also have stupid rednecks. Canadians seem to have a giant inferiority complex with the US. They seem to think that everything Canadian is amazing and everything American is terrible. Obviously that is a gross over simplification.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is an awesome reply Pudge, in more ways than one. There is nothing more humorous than to be the lone US citizen in a room full of rural Canadians and some Brits watching the Canadians try to figure out who they are. And I don't mean that in a bad way - the same thing happens with a room full of US folks with a handful of europeans.

Excellent social commentary that could get you in a lot of trouble in the real world.
