Wow, an office full of whiney bitches.

I am not that hard to please. Any compromise would go a long way with me. But the owner is not willing to compromise if it involves not having her dog here DAILY. That does not leave me with a lot of options besides suck it up, which is BS.

Transfer, look for work at another place or start your own company and make your own policies.

However, if an owner is going to keep a distraction in the office, it will likely come through in the work they get out of the people that are distracted. Many small business owners don't realize that instead opting for their own comfort. Then they wonder why they lose alot of good people.

Bump to report that employee is out at a trade show this week with CEO, CFO, VPs, salespeople.

Got another employee to bring her dog to work and put it in her office while she is in Florida.

The absurdity of all of this is killing me.

Wow, I can't believe I missed this gem the first time.

Start smoking in your office, if you don't smoke, do it anyway. Also invest in a dog whistle and wail on it at ever opportunity. Also, buy a Boa Constictor, let it roam freely, with any luck, said dog will make a nice meal.

KJS,

I think this latest infraction warrants complaining to the boss. That's such an obvious abuse of the rules. She's basically asking the office to take care of her dog. F that.

I moved to Seattle from Houston. Its weird up in Seattle people take their dogs everywhere. In the coffee shops, stores, grocery stores etc.. I found this to be the weirdest crap. My friend and I, both from Houston, noticed right away people have pet issues up there. I lived over on Alki beach and I am not sure if it was worse there or not. But either way I would be in Nordstroms and some lady would have her dog on a leash walking right thru the store.
Oh and I love the dog whistle part that was good.

Spent lunch looking for dog whistle downtown to no avail. Got a lead on one at Petco in U District.

Bigwigs were contacted and told of my immense frustration that the dog has now been in the office more than the employee. That despite employee being gone I am subjected to dog whining and barking. Bigwigs responded "This distraction will go away soon." Hopefully that means what i think it does.
