If God came down from heaven right now and told everyone that it was ok to start killing each other I doubt we'd have total chaos. I don't think God determines what is moral.

Sadly, many people I have met share his viewpoint in assuming that atheists aren't moral or ethical simply because they don't have a supreme being guiding them in the right direction. I don't rob my neighbor because it's not nice and I wouldn't want him doing that to me. Logic tells me that it's not the right thing to do. I would assume that most theists think the same way and don't restrain themselves from stealing (or doing other unethical things) just because the bible says it's wrong.
