Re: HATE HATE HATE

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] twp, congrats, your line is great when you know you're gonna hit that gin-ball on the turn. [/ QUOTE ] One of my 13 gin balls on the turn? What about when I push a blank turn? Is that an easy call with bottom set? Even if he calls, I still have 13 outs on the river... Seems like a good line to me, no matter what... [/ QUOTE ] Do you really need to ask if bottom set calls a turn push on a blank? The line is fine, the problem people have with it is that you seem to think it is revolutionary and not 5 players on Stars could have played it as well. [/ QUOTE ] Dude, it doesn't need to be 'revolutionary' to escape the grasp of all but 5 players in the Stars 3/6. Remember, this is the typical level of play in the Stars 3/6. Poker Stars No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $3/$6 4 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $671 TWP: $840 SB: $1021.45 BB: $1247.40 Pre-flop: (4 players) TWP is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] UTG calls, TWP raises to $24, SB folds, BB calls, UTG calls. Re: HATE HATE HATE
who, me? I was never a regular. I played 10/20 for a very short time and then moved way down (actually to NL100 for a time and built back up from there).

Re: HATE HATE HATE
[ QUOTE ]
Hahaha, based on my experience with you I know you won't be impressed with my game. Check out Loki_in_Love on Party! In any case, I've posted many time that I'm Gogumagog on Stars. Feel free to let me know what you think. I already have a pretty honest view of my game, I believe, but I'm always happy to hear another opinion. FWIW, I think my A game is very solid - good enough to beat average 10/20 online games. I think I get bored too easily and tilt way too often, so it doesn't really matter how good my A game is since I'm usually playing my B game and all too often playing my C or F game. I'm sure I did play against you because SexyFlanders sounds familiar, but I don't play very many hands and have no recollection of your game at all. There are very few regs who are tough in the Stars 3/6. Maybe 2-3. And I didnt say I was the best player, I said I didnt think many people would play this specific hand this well. [/ QUOTE ] I have no notes on you. I have you as a VERY TAG/VERY TAG player by my parameters. I have 183 hands played with you at 3/6 only, and you won $214, $69 of it from me. I would guess you are a bit too TAG to be extracting maximum profit from these games, but with Raszi and I both at your table the entire time, plus Kamikazeee for a bit, you may have been more TAG than normal. Looking over a few hands, the following one that you won sticks out as odd to me; PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $6 BB (6 handed) internettexasholdem.com CO ($591) Button ($869.15) Hero ($703.75) BB ($591) UTG ($1194.45) MP ($615) Preflop: Hero is SB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 2 folds, CO raises to $24, Button calls $24, 1 fold, BB raises to $88, CO calls $64, Button calls $64. Flop: ($267) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players) BB bets $144, CO calls $144, Button folds. Turn: ($555) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) BB bets $359 (All-In), CO folds. Final Pot: $914 Results in white below: No showdown. BB wins $914. If you had AA-QQ here, as your style would seem to dictate, then I don't care for the flop bet of just over half pot on such a highly textured board. Really, by my tastes, about the only hand I could see a TAG wanting to play like this is T9s, which you could have on a resteal, Just too much going on in that flop to give someone almost 3-1 for my taste. That's all I got. GL with the rebuilding. |

POKERSTARS GAME #7715844834: HOLD'EM NO LIMIT ($3/$6) - 2007/01/01 - 17:42:39 (ET)

So I didn't think I really had to worry about draws here. I figured Morbidity for a big pair and Raszi for a small pair. I could have just pushed the flop, I guess. I don't think this hand is particularly great, but I don't think it's bad either. I'm kinda neutral on it. |
