One time at a Don Pablos-esque restaurant the waitress dumped 4 HUGE sodas onto me and my brother, it was like a tidal wave. He got free drycleaning and stuff. it was awesome.

This is a good point. At the very least they should have offered to pay for the OP's wife's cleaning.

I'm gonna write my PF Changs a letter tonight and tell them this happened to me so I can get a free meal too.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was just thinking the same thing. If you wrote up a generic letter and sent it to many, many places... you could be eating free for weeks.

Expand this to Subway, Jimmy Johns, etc... wow, the possibilities for me becoming a fatass are endless.

I'm sure there are people who do this. Keep in mind, however, that if they suspect that you're scamming them, chances are that your free meal will end up containing something 'extra'.

some bitch ass waittress spilled a drink on me once at my local pho place and didn't comp my meal. I was the only white person there and i'm pretty sure she woulda comped it for a vietnamese dude. And she asked if I needed silverware. AT PHO! I would have left without paying anything but felt that wasn't justifiable since it was only water and I could still sit at the meal somewhat comfortably. So I paid in canadian. hahahaha BITCH

As others said, wow. Did you ask for the manager?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, but I said something along the lines of "I don't mean to complain, but if a drink is dumped in wife's lap, I'd at least think you might comp the drink." She said "well, let me go check," came back and just dropped the check (with the drink comped). I should have asked for a manager, but we had a crying kid so got out of there. So without having asked for a manager on site, is it worth writing a letter? I'm big on writing letters.

[/ QUOTE ]

Tell me you DIDN"T leave her a tip.

[/ QUOTE ]

jeez this sux man, i thought it was almost standard for them to at least cover the drink and probably the meal...strange, u should have complained a bit, but at least u didn't blow off at them because that would have just been bad...
