I would be surprised if hero would bet overs (if he had them) after being checked to on the turn, because villain's most likely holding would be a T

I'm skeptical that 88,99 any T are going to pay you off 50% of the time.

This is an argument for betting overs in this spot.

Hero needs to get paid off 50% of the time when he's ahead to make this a good bet,

That's not quite true. Its less, because of the times when I make a hand fold that would have caught up on the river.

If villain calls the top 1/2 of his hands, all the hands that will call are T.

I suppose this is a case for betting the turn, but you will get stacked when you are behind, which is a real possibility.

You will live a less stressful life if you check behind on the turn and keep it simple.

88 and 99 are terrible calls/pushes for villain.

IMO

you missed my point. I was simply saying that if as you claim villain will fold many 10s on the turn (a claim which I don't happen to agree with) then you can't also say that betting the turn with overcards is bad (since it gets LOTS of better hands to fold).

I think you are right. Villain can't fold a T here.

If villain calls his entire range, then hero should bet the turn.

My line wins less, and its not even close.

Raising ATo in UG with no reads at a full table?

It's a FOLD (pre-flop)

- Bitterness is joy with a bad attitude
