I also don't believe he is the most overrated player in baseball.

[/ QUOTE ]

Scott Podsednik had this honor for 2005.

Nice trade, White Sox. Podsednik sure is better than Carlos Lee.

Of course he was a top player of all time before his juicing, but all of the stuff in the second leg of his career is just totally fake.

[/ QUOTE ]

Prove it.

[ QUOTE ]
What other players have done stuff like that?

[/ QUOTE ]

This is not conclusive evidence. Prove to me that Bonds used steroids. Just because he has stats that eclipse everyone you have ever seen play the game does not mean he is cheating. What is so hard to understand about that?

[/ QUOTE ]

There is overwhelming evidence against him. Barry's trainers and support staff have been convicted in court of distributing steroids. Greg anderson, bonds' and several other major leaguer's trainer, has been convicted as well. several of andersons other baseball clients have tested positive for steroids. That is all stuff that has been proven in court, then there is all the testimony listed in the Game of Shadows book. If the book is all lies, then why hasn't barry sued them for libel? it wasnt written by some crack team of haters, it was written by genuine journalists.

Besides, I'm guessing that if Barry failed a drug test tomorrow, you would say that it is fairly meaningless since it doesn't prove that he was juicing during his 73 HR season. Because it wouldn't prove that he juiced then, would it? Think about how ridiculous your argument is.

And a world series title is better than sitting at home in October.

you mean other his grand jury testimony that he used steroids?

edit: ruth cheated, too: he used a cork bat.

[/ QUOTE ]

So you actually think Bonds is playing on a relatively level playing field?

er, yeah, and sammy sosa just used a BP bat that was corked?

Of course, it's funny that I get into this argument on this side. whatever. he used steroids and I don't particularly care about it.

Yes, he was passed the torch by Darin Erstad after the Angels WS.

I really don't know. I don't know the scope of drug use in the mlb (steroids, amphetamines, etc), nor do I know the effects of them on stats, or the effects of whatever players in the past used.

Yeah, they wouldn't have been able to do that without Scott Podsednik.

who knows but the action of acquiring him resulted in the title and its more than likely that not acquiring him would have led to them not winning a title. This doesn't mean they are a better team with him, just that they probably don't win without him.
