American's speaking Hebrew. [/ QUOTE ] the worst. why? because all the others are an american who's genuinely trying to talk a new language. with hebrew, every kid who learned an hour a week in jew-school thinks they're fluent, and they try to speak hebrew to me, and they can't put a sentence together or or use words/sentence structure that aren't directly out of the torah. Its like listening to every 5th word of a shakespeare play, and that of course ignores the actual accent, which makes the language sound like english but with gibberish words. it's so bad i just switch to english right away. "oh, you speak english?" you think i'm retarded? do i look like the rest of these arsim? |

Any accent where "wash" is pronounced "warsh (with the harsh r)". That just annoys me.

I have never heard of any French not liking the American accent. [/ QUOTE ] n'attendez pas au chou-chou, mslif. Il est un chapeau du derriere. |

I feel like such a total snob here in the south and I really don't want to. But the accent and all those "I'm fixin' to go to the sto'" and stuff like that just drives me batty for some reason. [/ QUOTE ] A lady I work with is from East Texas and she said to me yesterday (at work): "Bein's that y'all are fixin' to ...[etc.]" I vurped. |

Since I went to college and away from my parents my cajun's been suppressed. When I get excited/whatever I talk super fast it definitely comes out as in most accents. Of course, my girlfriend now is super cajun so I've been coonassin it up.
