[ QUOTE ]
You limp a hand like Q3d and flop a flush. The BB had K4d and would have folded to a preflop raise. Stacked. [/ QUOTE ] Won't worse flushes fold just as much (if not more) than better flushes? [ QUOTE ] I picked up QQ on the BTN, he raised, and I 3-bet. He called, and c/red a T high flop all-in with 88. Stack to me. That would not have occurred had I been playing weak/tight/passive and limping. He would have checked and folded the flop. [/ QUOTE ] Isn't this results oriented thinking? It's all about your range versus his range in that spot. Who cares that when you had QQ he had 88. Krishan |

Hi cero_z, A feather in your cap. [/ QUOTE ] Heh I'm not sure what this means. I hope I don't even have to say this, but just in case: I'm not attacking you personally with these posts; I'm trying to debate something I disagree with. I respect your play and thinking. If you were talking about the phrase TWP highlighted, I still see a distinction to be made between that situation and my examples (I was not talking about reducing swings, e.g.), but either way, it's all good. I'm glad these types of discussions are taking place in some NL forum. |

limping with hands that make nut flushes and straights takes care of alot of the problems that limping causes
also, the deeper you are the easier it is to have the implied odds necessary to limp/call raises with speculative hands, supposing you will outplay postflop |
