All - everybody in this thread could do a better job as GM than Dave Littlefield. He is HORRIBLE.

This just in: Andy Phillips is terrible. He's not that good defensively and his offense is abysmal for a first baseman.

[/ QUOTE ]

Correct. Craig Wilson is an upgrade in so many ways it's not funny. Such a great trade by Brian Cashman.

i dont understand what the yankees are gonna do with all thse players, they already have a big slugger who sucks at playing 1st base, plus a defensive replacement for him who can't hit [censored] right now, plus they might have too many outfielders in a month, and no where to play Bernie..this is what the bench is for, who you know torre will definitely get ABs in the playoffs.

Perez/Bell for Linebrink seems to be official.

Awesome job by Omar. Lose Dirty for the year and don't skip a beat.

For all of the flack he takes, Omar turned Nady into Linebrink and Roberto Hernandez. Great job.

But couldn't he have arranged that same deal without losing Nady?

With Linebrink, I don't think there was enough of a need for Hernandez to trade Nady.

Looks like his last few outings have been horrendous. But overall this year, looks like typical Linebrink.

I obviously don't watch him day to day though.

Huh? No. Perez wasn't on the Mets. He had to get Perez. And Hernandez comes with him, which is a plus.

Nady is a nice player, but nothing that isn't expendible. Especially with how he hits with RISP.

I think it's a job well done considering he had to absolutely scramble with his back against the deadline.
