This ending might be my favorite ending ever. While the episode as a whole wasn't good, the last 10 minutes was awesome.

Not even close.
The Jack stuff was solid, very good in fact ('damn Jack' was a classic line), but the White House stuff was as bad as ever and made up half the episode (and the Milo/Ricky/Nadia love triangle drama was even worse). Also, even if the whole ep was as good as the last 15 mins it still wouldn't come close to salvaging the season, just cause the season has been that bad.

Also, I hate Ricky S as Jack Jr.

I thought it was great. I was totally leveled. When Jack went in there I thought there was no way he would actually get the nukes because there were so many eps left. Nice change of speed by the writers.

Altho, getting the call from the Chinese immediately afterwards seems a bit silly.

Agreed about the nukes conclusion. The whole time it was happening I thought the open one was armed and that'd be the next crisis.

"Savlaged the season" might be a bit much, but what I meant was that I'm not genuinely stoked about the remainder of this season. Obviously the season as a whole mostly sucks bad.

re: White House stuff. I've never been a huge fan of ANY drawn out White House plot, but it's always been a part of the show. That said, I really thought this week's White House stuff was decent/good. It was leagues better than all the previous stuff this season.

I'd like to say how awesome that episode was, how excited I am to watch next week for the first time in awhile, and that I'll probably even watch it Monday instead of downloading it later, but I'm too cool for any of that.

Yeah, up until that point the episode was pretty good.

I kinda loved how Jack gets out of bullets and then dodges his weapon and runs towards Fayed. That was just a really cool moment and Jack was badass this episode. No doubt.

even though I don't really care about Audrey, I am super happy that they are taking this to a more personal level for Jack. I don't like it as much when there's all of this nuke stuff going on. Season 1 was awesome - maybe this will be similar.

And when they kidnapped his wife and daughter, that was also personal. And when his ex was a mole. And when he saved Kim in season 2. And 3. And his partner was dating his daughter. And when his gf and boss were kidnapped by terrorists. And when the bad guys killed his two friends to frame him. And his old boss was in on it. And his brother. And dad. And an old enemy denotated a nuke on American soil. And when his dad killed his brother and tried to kill him a couple of time. And when he thought the Chinese killed his true love. And then the fact they kidnapped her, NOW IT'S ****** PERSONAL!

Every other plot is personal for Jack.
