Varlos,

How much are you putting on the Bears?

I'm already freerolling with my Bears bet from earlier in the season, so I might just stand pat. But I agree that the Bears are a very good bet at -7.

HEY BEAR FANS ARE YOU READY FOR THE BEARDOWN!?!?!?

I am so excited to see our team in the Superbowl this season. I will have the opportunity to get drunk + enjoy the Superbowl for once.

The Bears are going to crush the Colts:

Bears - 31
Colts - 21

Actually, I don't think I'll put money on the game. I had just been using Pinnacle, but when the quit on us I withdrew my bankroll to Neteller right before they pulled out. Since I mostly only bet on football, I don't feel like going throught the hassle of picking and funding a new account. Besides, I'd like to see the Colts win, and I think I'll enjoy the game more without split loyalties.

However, if I was going to bet, I'd probably spread about $200 on the Bears ML and +7, which is like 4 units for me.

I'd also like very much the 1st Half Under and 2nd Half Over, based on my subjective impression of how Manning tends to play against really good defenses.

lol, a couple of my less-then-brilliant co-workers SWEAR that the line is actually CHI -7.

sooooo, I of course agreed with their assesment and took Indy +7 from each of them for a hundred.

god i love the superbowl

Curious...do the Bears fans in here think the Bears really have a good shot to win?

Homerism aside...

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm a Bears hater and I think they have a shot. I looked at the moneyline for value and didn't see any either way. When I looked, it had the Bears at about 29% to win the game. Colts are better, but it's barely above 2 to 1 that they win the game.

Yeah, ok, let's see if I can do this. Yes they have a good shot. I think this game is a good indication of how the Bear's defense reacts when the media insults their ability to play well. Now these two weeks will be 10x worse as far as media glorying the offensive abilities of Manning and his offense. I think you will see the defense play to the best of their ability and pose an extremely hard obstacle for the coronation of Manning.

As far as special teams goes we all know Gould and Hester's abilities and how they will be up for this game.

The Bear's offense will be the big question mark before this game. After racking up almost 200 yards rushing and having Benson running as hard as I have ever seen him run in a Bears uniform I have no doubt that they will get their yards on the ground. It all comes to Rex playing well, and I am too much of a homer till give an honest response to that. In my mind he is gonna go out there and put up 300 yards and 3 TD with no picks. But a small part of me doubts that can happen.

The Bears match up pretty well against the Colts. They definitely have a good shot at winning. They're dogs, but it's not as bad as the public thinks.
