Anyway, im sure this has been answered, but someone humor me....why isnt everyone just cashing these checks for cash so they can't be reversed? |

Re: Banks Are Reversing PokerStars Checks
Somebody answer this.
There are two Citizens Banks. One is popular in the New England area. The other is Canadian. This is the New England bank? |

Ok this is my experience I deposited a check for 3.5k 3 weeks ago it cleared in 3 days I made a full withdrawal. A few days ago I check my account balance it is overwithdrawn in the amount of the check. WTF? I'm doing some research, I will post when I find out more [/ QUOTE ] I would put the funds bank in your account to get it out of overdraft. You're paying crazy interest on that overdrawn amount. |

Re: Banks Are Reversing PokerStars Checks
My understanding is that it takes a few days for a check to clear which indicates the funds are good, but takes a month or so before that bank actually receives the money. In these cases the banks are not able to collect the funds. What I want to know is why is this, and why has PS not addressed this issue here?

Re: Banks Are Reversing PokerStars Checks
Im slow. Somebody explain what I am missing. I present my bank with a check to deposit. They wait the required time (usually 1-5 days) until the other side CONFIRMS the funds are good, your bank then credits your account. Once the other bank confirms their side they are then responsobile to deliver the money to your bank (on whatever day they physically settle the transaction).
If there then is an issue with other bank and their client, how can it possibly be your liability? Again Im slow. |

Re: Banks Are Reversing PokerStars Checks
Wow - this is bad. I have no money in Stars, but I'm beginning to think it's time to throw in the online flag for awhile. I have several grand on another site and I'm not keen about depositing a check that will later be reversed or cause issues with my bank, etc. I've been going to AC almost every weekend lately - it may be time for me to pack my things.
