glad to see 3 inches of blood mentioned. you guys practically left out the entire thrash genre though:

d.r.i.
exodus
cryptic slaughter
corrosion of conformity
tankard
kreator
nuclear assault
anthrax (old of course)
sabbat
municipal waste
toxic holocause

and not so much thrash, but also worth mentioning:
venom
deicide
high on fire
brutal truth

Tool
Mudvayne
Iron Maiden
Metallica
Megadeth
Rammstein

Dillinger Escape Plan
As I Lay Dying
Ozzy
Black Sabbath
Pantera
Cradle of Filth

I like to think of KMFDM and Skinny Puppy as Industrial Metal - can we count that too?

Pig Destroyer is the best band in the world at the moment. Their albums just keep topping everything else.

Now you're talking.

Few good German thrash bands you forgot: Destruction, Sodom and Holy Moses.

From North American bands we need to add at least Annihilator (first two albums are pure gold) and Slaughter (don't mistake with the crappy hair band), both from Canada. Vio-Lence from Bay Area was good also. Did anyone mention Dark Angel, Sadus, Sacred Reich or Heathen?

I guess Exhorder isn't 100% thrash, but that band was awesome. Smoked Pantera in every possible way.

Of the newer bands The Haunted's debut was amazing. When it came out I instantly named it the Reign In Blood of the 90's.

The Crown's (I guess they are closer to death, but there's some thrash in too) Deathrace King is one of my all time favourite.

Witchery has tons of brilliant thrash riffs.

Susperia's debut was brilliant mixture of thrash and black elements.

I could go on forever, but I guess I'll continue later.
