AUGUST: Goals, Challenges, Expectations

Goals:

Have enough confidence to move up to 25NL by Sept. 1st.
Win 15 buyins (total) at 10 NL by the end of the month.
Reply to five threads a day.
Post one hand a day.
Reread NLHTAP, TOP by the end of the month.


Challenges:

Clear at least one bonus at 25NL, preferably if Party has one.
Stack up to 4x buy-in at one table.
Average 20 PTBB/100 at .02/.05 NL at Party, and 10 PTBB/100 at .05/.10 NL at Party.


Expectations:

Win $100 at 10NL by the end of the month.
Play 10,000 hands this month.
Drill into head: "Big pots are for big hands".

I don't know how big/small your bankroll is, but when I get drunk and want to play poker, I donk it up at the lower limits (in my case 25NL.) This helps me keep the bankroll from taking too big a hit when I'm just looking to screw around.

Goals:
Play good and move my BR from $1300-2000 by the end of this week at 50NL.
Start cashing money out to buy the UFC DVD collection I want now. (This is my main goal, which correlates directly to my getting my BR to 2000 and beyond, so that I can cash some out and still keep building)
Move up to NL100 by the end of next week.
Not get owned.

Challenge: To keep from tilting. I have been good about this, very good, in the last few days, starting from right after I decided I wanted to buy the UFC with my poker cash, and directly after dropping 3.5 buyins in about as many hands.
Start taking poker seriously, instead of my normal: Play well, run BR up really, really quickly, play BJ/600NL/something else dumb, and lose it, repeat.


Expectation:
Finally get PT/PAHUD free from the Doyles Room promo. Finally.
Move up to 100NL by the end of the month. For good. Have at least UFC 1-20 by the end of the month.
Get to finally look at my siblings/aunt and uncle and say see, [censored] you, I told you I could make money from this game.

Move up from 6 tabling to 8 tabling
Not take one day off
Move up from 50NL to 400NL (so make $10,000)
Become more positional and aggressive

This needed to be updated due to the way I have been playing the past two weeks.
After my Vegas Vacation I had about 500-600 in my online bankroll. I played 25NL and took it to about 850-900. Started playing 50NL until I hit about 1800-1900. Took a shot at 100NL and got creamed.
Later that night, played 3 tables of 50NL and 1 100NL and did very good on the 100NL.
Next day did 2 tables of 100NL and 2 50NL, finished up again. Last few days played exclusively 4 tables of 100NL and have had no setbacks.

4. “My first weekend out there, turn a $200 buy-in into at least $500”
5. “Hit the exercise bike at least every other day when I arrive, drop 10 pounds the first month”
<font color="blue"> Expectations: </font> these are things you reasonably expect will happen during the month. They should be less aggressive than goals/challenges, and by the end of the month you should be able to look back and say "yup, I accomplished that."
