I stopped getting carded when i was like 17 in most places here in Melbourne, only the nicer ones which I already knew not to go to.
Now it's like 60/40 at the nicer nicer bottle shops and never at the cheap ones (18) |

I think it pertains more to what stage of alcoholism you're in rather than what age you are (assuming you're talking people under 30). If they see you everyday and have carded you 50 times so they never bother carding you again you might have a problem.
