while its not outa the question for belechik to be running up the score on purpose, ive watched the games and dont really feel that way. they just seem to run a couple pass plays and since the defense is expecting run they get huge plays. if anything i think this has more to do with belechik wanting brady to break peytons td record

[ QUOTE ] Way to quote a long post to bust out the "we" dis. ooh zing we you ain't on the team amirite? Cuz it's not common for fans to say that at all. [/ QUOTE ] It's not uncommon for fans to say "we", but that was a little ridiculous. Let's see it again: "we coach better than you, we run the cap better than you, we collect better players than you, we win 3/4 SB's when everyone said it was impossible, and now you discount our achievements?" Our achievements? Now that's funny. [/ QUOTE ] it's funny that you didn't understand what I was saying next time I'll include some reader notes like this HERE IS HOW I FEEL THE PATRIOTS ORGANIZATION FEELS ABOUT WHAT WAS SAID, READ BELOW "we coach better than you, we run the cap better than you, we collect better players than you, we win 3/4 SB's when everyone said it was impossible, and now you discount our achievements?" |

Frickin' Eckel or whatever with a bunch of runs near the goal line with the game already over. Same in the SD game. Sammy Morris runs for a TD on 4th and goal with the game already over. They're definitely running up the score. |

It's hard enough being a sports fan these days. Why do they have to have their emotional ownership stripped from them.

I don't know what's funnier. People acting like only New England cheats or New England fans acting like they have somehow been wronged because people want to talk about them cheating.
Everyone knows that cheating goes on; but to act righteously indignant because people single you out is idiotic. It's a bigger deal when the Patriots get caught cheating because they're so successful. Nobody would care if the Raiders got caught cheating because the Raiders suck ass. It's the same reason that nobody can name the last five MLB players who tested positive for steroids; but everyone knows about the "flaxseed oil" Barry Bonds used. Bonds gets more scrutiny because he's a much better player. On topic, I have no problem with the Patriots running the score up. It's not their job to play defense for the other team. At the same time, if someone happens to theismann Tom Brady's career (and consequently the entire Pats franchise) they will have no one to blame but themselves. |

[/ QUOTE ] Really? Nice Spin. Your very first post in this thread: "yes. [censored] you NFL and everyone who questioned what we've accomplished this decade. if you don't like it, then don't get blown out. it's not our responsibility to keep the games close." Funny stuff. |

Running your fifth-string rusher (who graduated from a service academy, was just signed off the practice squad, and had zero career touchdowns) straight up the middle four times in a row isn't running up the score. It was fourth down, so they couldn't have just done a kneel down and run the clock out.
If you don't want them to score, stop the guy. |
