Re: Coming Soon: Justin Upton
Another fun kid who was born 4 months earlier in 1987 and was drafted 11 places behind Justin is Jay Bruce. He is in the Cincinnati organization. Not sure if everyone has heard of him, but you probably will soon, especially as he will play his home games at GABP.

Re: Coming Soon: Justin Upton
That 2005 draft is starting to become legendary!
How's this for a fantasy outfield next season ($260 cap); Chris Young, $6 Justin Upton, $1 Matt Kemp, $1 Lastings Milledge, $1 Jay Bruce, $1 I'm thinking about swapping Bruce out for Longoria since he'll be my U at best. Getting Longoria gives me an heir to Cabrera for whenever I decide I don't want to pay him anymore. |

Or you could dump Milledge for Bruce.

Re: Coming Soon: Justin Upton
Full-time starters in 08 I still take Bruce, simply due to his park.

Even though he hasn't really produced at the major league level, those 230 or so PA that Milledge has gives him a big advantage over the players who haven't made it yet. From a tools/prospect status, he's just as good as Bruce/Longoria. I think people forget that Milledge is only 22 and only six months older than Longoria. |

Re: Coming Soon: Justin Upton
Bruce has raped Triple-A more than Milledge. Significantly more.
