hey rwperu,
what happened to ASU's pass protection this past weekend?

[/ QUOTE ]

It was about the same as it was against Stanford...non existant. The o-line has been in a two week slump since the second half domination of Oregon State. This is a big area of concern heading into the tough part of the schedule.

it comes down to a judgement call. i have USC at 7, and i think they're better than that. the game against Oregon in a few weeks will tell us where they belong

[/ QUOTE ]
Even while full strength, USC was only consistently inconsistent. Their offense has injuries galore and they just had arguably the worst loss ever. No real top ten team would ever lose that game.

Your Oklahoma love is simply amazing to me. As is your seemingly irrational hate for all non traditional schools (Boise last year, South Florida this year).

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm starting to become absolutely, positively sure that you are right on this issue Clark

I just watched the DVR I have of last nights sportscenter for their NCAAF anaylsis

Lee Corso, Desmond Howard, and Chris Fowler had Oklahoma #4, #5, and #4 respectively

all had the same 5 teams in the top 5 as me

that is not 'sharp' company

Even worse, CFN also has Oklahoma 4. At least they don't have the same top 5 as you, though, with Missouri 5th, but still, speaking of non-sharp company...

I actually like CFN and use them as my 'human experts'--they're a large part of one of my indexes

I think they're better than both polls and most tv talking heads

But, I think they are batshit crazy with Illinois at #12
I think a team about #25 to #30 should beat Wisky and Penn St at home in close ones. I don't think Illinois has proven they are above that yet. Now, if they win the next 2 games, I'll think they deserve the top 15.

You like a site that has Missouri 5, Arizona State 8, Illinois 12, Wisconsin 16, Purdue 18, and Michigan 25? I've always like the site as a whole, and actually reading through it I think there's a lot of good information, but I think it's buried in or at least evenly mixed with a lot of terrible analysis. They pull a lot of good stuff, but they are absolutely dead wrong way too often as well. Because of this strange mix, I've always found their rankings to be a joke.

I'm going to say it every weak until they lose. Hawaii is underranked.

I am curious about ASU, but assume they are overranked based on past prejudice (being used to ASU being teh suck). They also had a great deal of trouble with a not very good WSU team. Their schedule includes a home victory over Colorado and a road drubbing of (lol!) Stanford:

09/01 San Jose St W 45-3
09/08 Colorado W 33-14
09/15 SDSU W 34-13
09/22 Oregon St W 44-32
09/29 at Stanford W 41-3
10/06 at Wash St W 23-20

This is a team that went to overtime against Louisiana Tech, if anything I'd have them as overranked.
