Re: Thoughts on the WSOP FT
[ QUOTE ]
Despite my dislike of zealotry, I think Yang's win might've been a good thing. Is anyone else hoping Yang's win brings some hardcore Christians into the poker economy? Dudes who rely on luck and prayer to win? [/ QUOTE ] I'm hoping this acts on legislation more than anything. Plays to the bible belt crowd. |

Re: Thoughts on the WSOP FT
This was the first PPV of the ME final table that I've ordered and I loved it. I'm assuming this is just because I don't have anything to compare it to. I don't understand the Yang hate....after his exit interview, it seems pretty hard to dislike the guy.

Re: Thoughts on the WSOP FT
[ QUOTE ]
Relative to almost every other televised final table I've seen, these guys were sloooooooooooooooow. Nobody expects a ton of snap calls and what not, but this was over the top, especially in spots where there really was no decision to make. Yang had a push back to him getting like 5:1 or something, holding 2nd pair top kicker vs. a short stack and tanked for 5 minutes. [/ QUOTE ] no s**t. 8.25 million dollar 1st place, the biggest tournament of the year, 16 hours of play and.... 205 hands for the final table? that sucks! |

Re: Thoughts on the WSOP FT
Also, I really enjoyed having no hole cards for a change. It was fun trying to figure out the hands.
I think a telecast that hid the holecards but revealed the hands at the end of the hand might be fun. Have they done that before? |

[/ QUOTE ] Late Night Poker used to show you one player's holecards but not the other's. That worked pretty well... |
