I may not agree with you, but you manage to articulate your points lucidly and intelligently. Sincere kudos for that.

. AND Check Your Head is a vastly underrated album IMO. [/ QUOTE ]I can't stand any other Beastie Boys stuff but this album is in my top question. And yes I know all the other Beastie Boys stuff is supposed to be awesome, I have no clue why I cannot stand any of it. |

[/ QUOTE ] for me it would be the fact that you think outkast cant put together a good album, but have dmx grand champ and nate dogg on your top ten list. some of your other picks are good though(soul food, IWW) |

Re: The Hip-Hop Thread, or Dids\'s Top 10 Hip-Hop Albums
yeah, the inability to grasp OutKast's methods in structuring a record is, in computer speak, user error. They are one of the few acts that understands what it is to make an album vs a concatenation of songs.
8Ball & MJG and UGK also deserve a lot of praise for spawning so many Southern progeny. |

LyinKing,
I know what Outkast is trying to do. I just don't think they do it very well. I would actually argue that UGK should be held accountable for all the [censored] artists that attempt to mimic their style but pale in comparision and make a ton of [censored] music. |

well, UGK can't be held accountable for their paradigm's being skewed by lesser acts. Most current rap is derivative and inferior.
