Nh. I don't even have to try these things, they'll show either K5o, or T4o about 99% of the time.

The worst played flopped quads. Ever.

Local casino's bad beat is currently 56K (2nd highest it's ever been) and it's screwing with my game.

2/4, B&M, 10 handed

Preflop (10 players): Hero is SB with 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
5 callers, Hero completes, BB checks

Flop (7 SB, 7 players): 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero checks (no way I'm betting this due to the bad beat, I want all pocket pairs to stick around to go runner runner), checks thru

Turn (3.5 SB, 7 players) 9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero bets (ok, bad beat has to have $20 in the pot so I gotta bet some time), 3 callers, Button raises, Hero calls (ug, I'm afraid of scaring bad beat potential away, plus I'm distracted by the thought that maybe button has quads potential), 2 callers

River (12.5 BB, 4 players): 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero checks (I'm crushed that the bad beat hasn't come in and not thinking straight, as soon as my hand tapped the felt I threw up), checks thru

My quads are good.

I somehow made 50BB last night making retarded plays like this. There is no justice in poker.

It's generally tough to get good action with flopped quads, especially in this case (a loose/passive game where people routinely see the flop with a 2 in their hand, but obviously none of your opponents have one). Honestly, with the exception of the river check I think you played the hand fairly well, particularly given the large BBJ.

But the real reason I came back to this thread:

Can someone please explain to me why I get exhausted after 3-tabling SSLHE for an hour or two, yet can play microlimit HORSE for 6 hours straight & still want more?

Especially when I keep frigging losing at it?
