Jays trade Shaun Marcum + Accardo/Janssen [/ QUOTE ] Make it McGowan and they'd do it. |

I might sell a nut for a Santana/Halladay 1-2 for the next half decade.

[ QUOTE ] I can save time because Florida never offers to get established players. I don't think I would trade Hanley for him straight up though. Or Cabrera. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think I'd trade Hanley for any single MLB player/pitcher right now. [/ QUOTE ] Not even the hot young prospect, Henry Rosinbagger? |

If he'll sign a 3 yr ext. Miller, Maybin + a few spare parts. For 1 year, several lesser prospects and a few spare parts + some cash.

[ QUOTE ] Jays trade Shaun Marcum + Accardo/Janssen [/ QUOTE ] Make it McGowan and they'd do it. [/ QUOTE ] IMO, and I never thought I would get to say this, pitching is not a priority for the Jays. They are deep, talented, and even have a buffer for injury next year. I'm not saying they wouldn't want Santana - every team does. I'm just thinking that if they have Santana type $$ (or or $$ and players), they shouldn't focus on Santana. They should be looking for a 3b and SS or a 3b and catcher solution. I'd rather see them dangle Glaus, a pitcher, and cash for 3B plus SS or 3B plus catcher. |

[ QUOTE ]
Jays - Rios and Accardo for Santana [/ QUOTE ] Add one of the young starters too and I think this is as close to a reasonable deal as we've seen in this thread. (both in terms of fairness and possibility of happening) |

Royals offer Mike Sweeney, Zack Greinke and Jason LaRue.
Think about it. |
