Does anyone know the extent of his injuries?

[/ QUOTE ]

I do--apparently he has a bruised lung and possibly a bruised liver. I didn't hear anything about broken bones or anything; I assume that if bones did break they were limited to things like ribs.

Also, those of you looking for the video--there's a GIF image of it in the thread. Just go into flat view.

This guy deserves credit just for not panicking.

[/ QUOTE ]

lol @ thinking he's not panicking :P

[/ QUOTE ]

You're really hardly thinking at all in those moments. It's too damn fast and instincts sort of kick in. Maybe it's different here because he must've known he was [censored] before even taking off so he had some more time. I just remember that when I slipped while doing a 25 foot rock jump into a pool of water my only thoughts were the initial "oh [censored]" and hoping that there weren't any rocks/ledges this close to the cliff wall in the water where I was falling. All the twisting and contorting just kind of happened.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well...okay. "Not panicking" was a poor choice of words I guess. But still, whether it's conscious or not, getting your body into a reasonable position for landing isn't easy--you need a much better sense of balance than what I have.
