Re: Photos: Your Commute
Alright, since I'm still unemployed, I decided to go play some poker at Ocean's 11 today. I got my ass handed to me, but took pictures of my commute from San Diego to Oceanside.
The view out my condo. Nothing special, but it was the start of my voyage : Here is the G ride. Yes, I drive a womans car. Yes, my car has a body kit. Yes, I suck at life : Now exiting, the state penitentiary : Turn onto 163 North : Turn (used loosely) onto 805 North, and as you might be able to tell from this picture, I was not in the right lane. I was too worried about taking the picture that I passed it up. I almost quit my photo shoot, but pressed on : Next two shots are of La Jolla. I love La Jolla and maybe one day I'll be baller enough to live in La Jolla. The view from the 805 sucks though : The evil 5 North : Del Mar, I haven't had a chance to visit, but will once the track opens up : Lagoons are awesome to me since they're not something you see back in Pittsburgh. As you can tell though, I suck ass at taking over the shoulder shots when driving : A look ahead at what I'll be stuck in coming back from the casino : Another lagoon : There's the Ocean's 11 sign... and there's me nowhere near the exit lane because I'm too busy trying to take a picture. I suck at this driving and taking pictures at the same time thing : Finally, I have arrived : |

Re: Photos: Your Commute
Lagoons are awesome looks like, but also very hot. Casinos signs make me giddy, even ones to which I've never been.

Re: Photos: Your Commute
GA - I'd be happy to contribute to this thread, but I suspect that the NJ Transit and NYC MTA wouldn't appreciate me taking 90 minutes worth of photos, and I'm really not down with spending time in Guantanamo Bay this time of year.

I've lived around Del Mar Heights Road my whole life, and this summer I'm house sitting off the 52 in University City. Also I worked at the Del Mar fair for 5 years and the track for one. |

Re: Photos: Your Commute
Walk across the street to the train Station. I love living next to the train.
I better hurry up because there is a train up there waiting to leave. Crap!! The paper is sold out and I didn't bring a book. I'm on my way. That's the United Center. Just two more stops. I'm glad I can take the train to work. Nice view of the river and the Mart. Next stop is mine. That's my stop. It's 1 block to work. Door to door my commute takes 20 minutes. Another day at the salt mines. The "El" is too crowded and smelly to ride after work. So at night I take the commuter train home. It stops at the train station next to my condo, but I don't take it in the morning because the departure time is inconvenient. It's about a 6 block walk to the Olgivie Transportation Center from work. Before I get on the train to go home, I usually call in an order to one of these places so the food will be ready when I get back home. Or, I'll just pick up something tasty from this place. And that's my commute. |
