Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
cit,
Comments like this "But it is important that we uphold certain established standards on our site." make me think that Mason would agree with this: "Does anyone have a problem with using Clark's posts as a litmus test for banning people? In other words, if people make posts that are more offensive/insulting than Clarkmeister's, they are subject to banning." Mason - would be good to hear from you regarding that. I and at least a few other mods would definitely support a policy that required 2+2 users to adhere to a certain level of conduct in their interactions here. |

I also wrote the following:

Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
If this is really an issue, I suggest that examples of behavior currently allowed that perhaps should not be, be posted here for mason's review.

Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
Mat,
I find threads like I banged a chick more offensive. I generally think it's pretty classless to post pics of girls and accounts of sex w/ them I don't think these are the most offensive things around on 2+2, just something I think is especially classless. Would appreciate Mason's take on threads like those. |

Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
Mason,
OK, so given "We don't run the website this way. If we did, www.twoplustwo.com probably wouldn't be much of a website. We set standards, and we try to follow those standards with reasonable flexibility." and the fact that you "consider Clarkmeister's comments to be one of the low points in the history of our website." would it be accurate to say that you think anyone posting something that most mods consider to be more offensive than Clarkmeister's post should be banned? |

[ QUOTE ]
Is there anybody who wants to defend these posts before Mason makes a ruling? [/ QUOTE ] I do. Users on 2+2 like girl threads, they like raunchy stories and they like pics. However, I don't think anyone particularly likes users who make fun of disabled people. I'm with Mason: that's the nut low. |

Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
I'm with you on the raunchy stories, but I have always been uncomfortable with pictures if I believed the girls in the photos would take issue if notified.

Is there anybody who wants to defend these posts before Mason makes a ruling? [/ QUOTE ] I think there is a fine line that gets crossed too often with these girl threads. Its been discussed before, I am not a fan once photos are involved without the involvement of the girl. As for Hal/Clark I prefer to abstain for the discussion. This is why I didn't respond El D, i don't want to get involved. |

Re: Who banned Clarkmeister?
That particular story is notable because the OP is a poster who came out of the closet in BBV4L a while back.
I think a ruling against the pictures is fine. I think ruling against the content is more difficult/impossible to enforce without massive uproar. |
