I think 50k a year is very reasonable for a solid 200NL grinder.

Have you or someone you know personally acomplished this?

It's 21 buy-ins monthly, it's very doable.
However, getting 50K hands in per month 4-tabling would be kinda tough.. I've been 4-tabling lately after a bad run and getting 50K hands in monthly would be very hard to do.

if you play only 200NL for 12 months (not sure why one wouldnt move up ) this is VERY doable.

I'm throwing this number out of my ass, but I would assume less than 10% of the regs are doing it. If anyone has real info like datamining that would be interesting.

I'm currently running 3ptbb/100 for 60K hands. At that rate I need to play 35K hands/month to hit $50K. And that's not taking rakeback into account, which is pretty considerable (about 1.4ptbb (ballpark)). Or you could say I run 4.4ptbb/100 which would require me to only play ~25K hands a month to hit $50K.

But yeah, still lots need to go right to hit it.

to be fair 3ptbb seems like a pretty modest winrate. say instead of playing 50k hand you played 40k and used to extra time to review your game and just improve all round then you could be hitting 6ptbb+

If 50K is VERY doable. What would you consider doable/reasonable? It just appears to me that based on that 3PT/100, it seems almost too easy to make some good money playing on-line poker.

well, the idea that its "too easy" is def an illusion. there are a lot of players that probably understand the game well enough, but dont apply what they know practically, tilt, make bad reads, start to play poorly when they run bad, have trouble putting in hands etc.

i say its VERY doable b/c there are a good a lot of players that can clear 5K per month (esp with rakeback) fairly easily. Of course, there are guys that can clear 10K, 20K and even more if they put the hands in at that level. So, i am not sure what the ceiling is for a 200NL player, but 50K a year is def. doable.

if you cant take 50k a yr out of 200NL you [censored] blow.

if you cant take it out of 100NL you [censored] blow. Jesus christ people.

8 table 100NL for a 5PTBB WR for 5 hrs a day 650 hands/hr

650*5=3250 = 325$/day x 300 is 100k a yr.

pretty disgustingly easy
