3 weeks ago, the Yankees were about to play Boston, Texas, Anaheim, and Minnesota, mostly on the road. Everyone was saying "season over, they are going to be starting minor leaguers and will crumble against good teams". Well, not so. They beat Boston at Fenway 3-1, beat Texas away 2-1, lost to the Angels away 1-3, then beat Minnesota and the Angels 2-1 at home.

a grand total of 10-7, all against 500+ teams when they were supposedly [censored].

giambi is just freaking ridiculous, 2 more HR today, just when you think hes cooling off he hits two more.

I don't think even the Yankees would take Sele; he's so bad this year. Pavano is scheduled to return in a week or so for them and I think they'll make do with Mussina, Johnson, Chacon and Leiter.

Because Torre is an idiot. The Yankees won the 4 rings despite him, not because of him. Any manager who didn't win those 4 rings managing teams as talented as those would be an embarrasssment. If Torre knew what he was doing then he would bat Giambi second.

Giambi? really? not exactly the prototypical #2 hitter. I'm not defending batting Cano there, but Giambi batting 2nd isn't the greatest idea either.

If you don't see why Giambi should be batting 2nd in the lineup and not 6th then you shouldn't be posting in this thread. Cano's on base percentage is barely above 30% while Giambi's is close to 45%.
