Leaves more playing time for Chavez and Gomez I presume, with (ugh) David Newhan as our 4th outfielder for the time being. Think Newhan will get any starts?

I sure hope not. Alou is eligible to come back Tuesday. Not sure if he will or not, but that would be nice if he does. They are also saying 2 weeks, maybe less for Valentin now.

I had a dream last night about a Milledge/Beltran/Chavez outfield. It was a good dream.

And I don't mean that in a gay way.

Mets have had some really crappy umpiring this year. Gomez was safe on that play, pretty clearly, yet called out. But the big thing was he came up lame. Looked ok walking into the dugout after walking it off though. Twisted ankle maybe?

Gomez taken out of the game. Newhan playing left and Chavez put into Right. This is getting ugly.

WTF Gomez... Green's foot is fractured... ugh.

At least Delgado hit a bomb, maybe he can actually start to hit the ball?

Hamstring Strain on Gomez. One of those injuries that you just don't know about.

Nice inning here by the Mets. Good to see Beltran/Wright/Delgado getting involved here. Delgado seems to have busted that slump for now. He's having a huge series in Miami. 6 for 10 6 RBI's 2 HRs.

Now hopefully Sosa can put up a goose egg in the bottom of the inning.
