Some hands from an ugly session the other night. Sorry I really don't have much in the way of reads. Most of the players seemed fairly normal 30/18-ish kind of guys.

Button hadn't been out of line. His smallish raise scared me for some reason. On the flop I still didn't feel comfortable enough that I was ahead to put in a raise. Awful right?

Suzzer a lot of these are really bad preflop.
1. Is close and that's only because villain made a retard three bet.
2. Is a really easy preflop fold.
3. Is a fold or three bet preflop. Probably fold.
4. Is fine
5. Is a really easy fold preflop.

1. Turn bet is fine.
2. Flop bet is fine, unless you think you will get c/red a lot. Turn is an incredibly easy fold.
3. Call the first time, fold the second time AINEC.
4. I think I would lead the flop as played. Raise and get it in. UTG is short enough and can have worse hands. BTN calling that flop bet and than three betting looks so FOS that I would get it in versus him.

I would probably advise to get a new coach.

Thanks pudge. Btw what do you think good VPIP/PFR stats would be for $100 or $200NL 6-max?

Pudge I disagree with a couple of the preflop sections of your advice there.

[ QUOTE ]

1. Is close and that's only because villain made a retard three bet.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this one is a fold, CO has a wide range and BTN(3bettor) has $54. Suzzer doesn't have set odds against BTN and it's unsure that CO will come along and unlikely that CO will have a hand strong enough to stack off with, and if he does he's probably 4betting pf.

[ QUOTE ]

3. Is a fold or three bet preflop. Probably fold.

[/ QUOTE ]

Calling and 3betting are both superior to folding IMO. Limper probably comes along if you call making it a multiway pot with a solid multiway hand in position. 3betting is fine given the CO's wide range and lots of FE.

I agree with your postflop advice.

I also agree suzzer should shop for a new coach if his current one really hates calling so much.

My 2 cents, haven't read the mighty pudge.

1. after the 3bet, no set no bet. His range is killing you and he ain't got any money. shorty's at this level will often a. not know how to bet, and b. bet retarded amounts to draw in others when they have a hand. If anyone ever figures out when its one or the other, lemme know.

2. fold pf, this ain't 400nl yo.

3. fold to the rr.

4. call

5. fold.

19-24 vpip and a pfr 3-4 points below that.

That's not real far off from what my coach is saying. Like 22/19 or 24/22

That's only calling 10-15% of the time.

suzzer- as long as your pf stats arent drastically far apart, it doesnt matter what they are. really. anything b/w like 16/13 and 31/26 is fine, postflop is far more important.
