I'd pretty much bet my life that you didn't go from being rated 700 to "beating GMS" in 3-4 years.

If you were actually that good, you could make ok money playing tournaments, and also decent money giving lessons. but you're lying, so it doesn't really matter.

[/ QUOTE ] in saint louis Mo the chess action isnt good and impossible to find people to play for money and the only ones that do are GMs which are beter then me for the most part..like i said i win a good percentage of the time agaisnt IMs and on ocasion beat a GM but ...nah playing chess for money in STL is ridiculous

vicious penguin, are you very good in chess? I ask because you are probably a better player than me (I haven't played a game of chess in two years at this point, I used to play voraciously but if you are any good you could probly stomp me). Also, you can wager baller amounts of cash, whereas if I exhibit lolbankrollmanagements, I could wager far far less than your 3000 bucks. It would be like less than 200. Sigh, microstakes.

whaddaya think penguin? Should we play a little and the winner of our match plays nick? I'm all for 2p2/bbv4life sending its best, which is not me probly. I used to be much better, but poker is more addictive than chess. PM sent as well.

so youre 17 yrs old and GM strength with only 4 tournament games ever? youre delusional (this is already obvious though). spb is right, i'd feel bad taking your money actually. im by no means great (havent played in a while, so maybe ~2000 uscf strength right now) but youre probably no match
